My name is John Cordaro. I will be your child’s Physical Education teacher at Lincoln Heights Elementary this year.
I graduated from the State University of New York, College at Brockport with a B.S. in Physical Education. Since graduating, I taught elementary P.E. for nine years in St. Croix, USVI. Hurricane Hugo blew me over to Broward County, Florida where I taught for another two years. From there it was on to North Carolina where I taught right here at Lincoln Heights from 1992 -’99, during which time I witnessed our school transformed from a place to be avoided to a school of distinction with a waiting list for new student enrollment. I resumed my career at LHE in 2002 and am beginning my 24th year at LHE and 36th year of my teaching career with the 2018-’19 school year.
I have six children (3 girls, 3 boys). My favorite activities are Bible study, Scuba diving and chess.
I look forward to helping your child develop a healthy lifestyle and a lifelong love for physical activity.
